Concepts Training has developed a range of workshops and courses specifically designed for young people attending school, college or youth organisations. In today’s society young people are increasingly at risk from bullying, physical attack, muggings or sexual assault; however with a little understanding of how to recognise and deal with threatening situations, students can become more confident and self assured in their everyday lives.
Concepts Training workshops place emphasis on avoidance and personal development as well as personal safety techniques to ensure the student is well equiped for today’s modern world. Courses can be delivered either through one off workshops to introduce students to the basic ideas of personal safety and awareness or through six, 90 minute sessions delivered weekly to develop more in depth mental and physical skills.
Concepts Training offers various courses to fit in with your needs and can be offered during the day or after school.
Six Week Personal Safety Course – this course is designed to give a broader education in personal protection and practical techniques and allows the student to develop over a longer period of time. This is an ideal class to offer as an after school or youth club activity.
This course can count towards recorded outcomes and be taken as part of the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme
6 week courses costs from £47.00 per students (minimum of 10 students) *
Bespoke Workshops – these one off workshops are an ideal introduction to the ideas behind personal protection. Through discussion, activities and instruction the students build awareness of potentially threatening situations and learn the basic principles of keeping themselves safe. These workshops are ideal for activity weeks or as part of a healthy lifestyle education programme. The content of the workshop can be tailored to your needs and are generally 90minutes to 3 hours in length.
Approximate costs start from £160.00 / 90mins for up to 16 delegates (bespoke quotations available on request) *
Martial Arts Fitness – This course is aimed at developing the student’s fitness level through the use of physical training based on martial arts. Using proven techniques, interesting training sessions and workouts, the students will find these 1 hour sessions challenging and fun.
